What a pleasure to wake up to a good review! This one in The Raleigh News & Observer! Reviews are always a bit nerve wracking, the waiting, the wondering. But it's part of the life of a published author, so you have to get used to it. And I have tried to develop a tougher hide for it.

Achieving the dream was a long process. I shelved the book 3 times over 5 years. But persistence, and believingin my book, paid off. Basically, I got out there and told anyone who would listen about the book. I told them my middle name was "Shameless!" But in the end, I think it was the support of independent booksellers and readers and book clubs that got the notice I needed.

I find the majority of new authors through Facebook and sites like this one. I also get recommendations from other authors i already read. Congrats!!! Interesting interview and this new book of yours sounds really good.

I read mainly historical romances set in the Regency and/or Victoria eras, but I do, on occasion, pick up books from other genres that interest me. I find new-to-me authors on the various blogs I read periodically such as Fresh Fiction, Writerspace plus individual and group author/reviewers blogs. I also subscribe
